Core Aviation Aircraft Asset Management
This module has been built specifically to meet the needs of Aircraft and Engine Lessors. The Asset Register module accommodates the challenges associated with the depreciation of aircraft and engines such as the correct handling of end of life adjustments, lease incentives, part disposals and held for sale aircraft. The module also allows for the management of the intercompany and elimination postings associated with an aircraft.
The Aircraft Asset Register allows for the calculation of depreciation on a monthly basis taking into consideration rules that are unique to the Aircraft Leasing industry.
The acquisition cost of the aircraft is populated directly from the Aircraft Purchase Invoice Module or from a direct posting into the General Ledger.
Complex depreciation rules can be configured to meet the needs of Lessors. For example, negative depreciation where different net book values are maintained across multiple entities within a group structure for a single aircraft asset is supported.
The module also allows for the restatement of depreciation where an asset end of life has changed, the transfer of aircraft to held for sale status, and the disposal, including partial disposal at end of life. The system also allows for the transfer of aircraft from one group legal entity to another and automates the production of the associated intercompany postings within the General Ledger.
